Anthony (Tony) S. Marino

Anthony S. Marino is Senior Advisor to Fiserv, Inc. In this role, Marino drives key strategic initiatives in support of the CEO and executive team. Marino is a certified Executive Coach and is currently working with Fiserv’s next generation of leaders to accelerate their readiness, growth and development.
Prior to this role, Marino served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), leading the global HR team, responsible for attracting, developing and retaining the talent necessary to achieve the company’s goals and in building the high-performance culture necessary for continued domestic and global expansion.
Marino is an exceptional HR executive having served as a public company CHRO for two decades with several blue-chip companies. Prior to the merger of Fiserv and First Data, he served as the CHRO with First Data. Previously, he served as EVP & CHRO at The Guardian Life Insurance Company, and general manager of global HR and CHRO at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, one of the largest bank holding companies in the world, where he was the first American appointed to an office in Japan in BTMU’s 130-year history. Marino also served as CHRO at Ally Financial, where he was instrumental in the restructuring and turnaround of the nation’s largest auto finance company. His HR career also includes roles at three "academy" companies long known for human resources best practices, Bank of America, Honeywell International (formerly AlliedSignal) and Pepsi.
Throughout his career, Marino has been a champion of diversity and inclusion efforts. At First Data, now Fiserv, he was instrumental in the development of eight employee resource groups (ERGs), which provide career development, networking, and volunteerism opportunities to 43,000 associates worldwide.
Marino received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University and is Six Sigma Black Belt. He serves on the Cypress National board of directors, and is an advisory board member of Candidly, a leading provider of student loan repayment programs. He also served as chairman of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington International Advisory Board.
