Fiserv is “Calling all Innovators, Dreamers, and Creators” to be a part of this powerful afterschool program open to students at MacDowell Montessori School and Audubon Middle School in grades 5th-8th. Selected students will learn through sessions with distinguished engineers and experts on-site at the Fiserv Milwaukee, WI campus. Teachers from both middle schools were chosen to co-teach and co-create the curriculum for this series in partnership with our Fiserv engineers. We are excited for the next session of this STEAM program!

The Future Techies program in Milwaukee provides 5th-8th grade students with unique access to diverse perspectives and hands-on technology through a team of skilled professionals from Fiserv and educators from  MacDowell Montessori School and Audubon Middle School.

 

Future Techies Objectives

  •  The program will provide students with unique access to diverse mindsets through a team of experienced Fiserv technologists and engineers who have partnered with leading educators in the Milwaukee Public School district.
  • Team projects will be developed and implemented into the program based on weekly curriculum. The program concludes with students’ final project showcase. 

 

Program Eligibility

  • To apply, child must be a student at MacDowell Montessori School and Audubon Middle School between grades 5th-8th
  • No prior experience is necessary to apply
  • All required technology will be provided by Fiserv

 

Program Details

  •  Future Techies introduces students to Fiserv experts and offers a hands-on technology curriculum for 5th-8th graders in the Milwaukee Public School district.
  • This afterschool program runs from January 9, 2025 to March 20, 2025, covering an 11-week period.
  • The sessions are scheduled to be held on Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Specific events such as orientation and the closing ceremony may have extended times.
  • All 5th-8th grade students from MacDowell Montessori School and Audubon Middle School are eligible; no prior experience is necessary.
  • All required technology and weekly STEAM activity materials will be provided.
